ETLN2414 Child Safety

Presenter: Nicole Talarico

Course Length: 2 hour(s)

Description:
If communities are going to evolve, to better manage risk, then we must foreground children in participatory spaces. Children must be involved in planning, assessment, reflection and reform. Children need to be aware of the strategies in place to keep them safe but also be active participants through the process of risk assessment which requires resources they can truly converse with. To authentically capture feedback and ideas there needs to be a range of user-friendly ways to communicate child safety commitments, policies and procedures in the context of your education and care service.

Standards addressed:

  • 1.1.2 Physical social and intellectual development and characteristics of learners
  • 3.2.2 Plan structure and sequence learning programs
