This
workshop will explore the needs and considerations in working with
gender-expansive children and adolescents. Current research and
theoretical approaches will be explored with emphasis on the stages of
change. Experiential play therapy interventions for children,
adolescents, and their families will be utilized during the workshop.
Objectives:
1.
Participants will identify and analyze needs and considerations with
gender-expansive children and adolescents in a play therapy realm.
2. Participants will create and assess play therapy interventions applicable to the stages of change.
3. Participants will describe applicable theoretical play therapy approaches with children, adolescents, and their families.
