Waste and Byproducts Rethinking from Waste to Resource(s) Webinar

Description

This course is designed to educate distilled spirits producers on how to rethink waste and byproducts as a resource rather than a liability. Participants will learn about the different opportunities for byproducts, waste reduction, reuse, and recycling, as well as the circular economy concept. The course will focus on practical strategies and techniques for reducing waste generation and optimizing resource use in the distilled spirits industry.

  • Mike Phillips

    Mr. Phillips joined HZI in September of 2020 as Director for Hitachi Zosen
    Inova USA, responsible for all sales, proposal, and business development
    activities of HZI’s Renewable Gas and Energy from Waste technologies
    in North America. For over 30 years, his experience in sales
    management, business development, marketing, and customer service
    has equipped him to provide superior outcomes in the selling and
    execution of large projects as well as aftermarket support. His
    experience in providing technical solutions for customers in various
    market spaces has helped them to meet their operational objectives.

  • Joe Szczepkowski

    Mr. Szczepkowski joined the company in 2000 as a Mechanical Design Engineer right out of college and held multiple positions in the company during his tenure. After a short leave to pursue other opportunities, Mr. Szczepkowski rejoined the company in August of 2012 as the Director of Engineering. In December 2019 Mr. Szczepkowski moved to the Sales and Proposals department, where he became the Proposals Director, leading the proposal management team. In August 2022 Mr. Szczepkowski became Sales Manager focusing on the renewable gas market. Mr. Szczepkowski brings extensive experience in the renewable energy field including anaerobic digestion, waste-to-energy facilities, fluidized bed boilers, circulating fluidized bed boilers, recovery boilers, fluidized bed reactors, and air pollution control equipment.
