Learning Objectives
At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  1. describe the differences between adult and child pathophysiology,
  2. conduct a primary and secondary survey for pediatric trauma cases,
  3. recognize, diagnose and manage common trauma-related pediatric injuries,
  4. recognize and consider ethical issues related to pediatric trauma,
  5. interpret diagnostic images for pediatric trauma cases, and
  6. determine the appropriate steps to prepare for the transport of a pediatric trauma patient.
