Trauma Resuscitation in Kids
Learning Objectives
At the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- describe the differences between adult and child pathophysiology,
- conduct a primary and secondary survey for pediatric trauma cases,
- recognize, diagnose and manage common trauma-related pediatric injuries,
- recognize and consider ethical issues related to pediatric trauma,
- interpret diagnostic images for pediatric trauma cases, and
- determine the appropriate steps to prepare for the transport of a pediatric trauma patient.
