Discovering Physician Wellness and Flourishing as a Leader

This session looks at physician wellness through an alternative lens. Historically, we have attempted to improve wellness through resilience training via self-improvement methods (yoga, exercise, ice cream socials, etc.) These activities do have some impact, however, given the rising numbers of physician burnout/depression/suicide, we, as a profession, are not making significant strides. As a profession, physicians are some of the most resilient individuals in the workplace. The question then becomes, is what we are currently doing effective and if not, is there a better way? Spoiler alert: there is.
