Early Attending-hood Finance and Billing Pearls

This session will provide learners early in their careers (ideally residents and new attendings) with information commonly not taught during medical school or residency training. Physicians are taught in tremendous detail how to practice medicine, but are usually graduated with little instruction in basic financial literacy, despite walking into well-deserved six-figure salaries. By the end of this lecture, participants will be armed with basic financial and billing knowledge that will help give them the tools to start on a path to financial wellness as early in one's career as possible. Participants will also understand the "why" of billing appropriately that is so often skimped over by practice managers and other administrators
