Fly Neighborly Noise Abatement Guidance

Learning Objectives
    The objective of this Fly Neighborly training is to provide helicopter pilots with the knowledge needed to perform quiet approach operations. This includes a brief overview of Fly Neighborly, a basic understanding of helicopter approach noise, and up-to-date recommended approach noise abatement procedures specific to seven individual helicopter models: R-44, R-66, AS350, AS365, AW139, B206, and B407. Students may choose to complete one or more aircraft-specific modules, although only one module is required for successful course completion.
Course Description
The continued growth of helicopter aviation requires the acceptance and support of the people who live and work in our communities and who are affected by helicopter noise. As aviation professionals, each of us has an obligation to fly neighborly and represent our industry responsibly.
