purchasing and completing any TNLA certification exam, you must respond to and
meet the qualifications on the Exam Requirement survey.
The Texas Certified Nursery Professional (TCNP) Exam is for individuals in the nursery/landscape industry who possess a high degree of knowledge and skill in horticulture. Achieving TCNP certification enhances your professional credibility, adds prestige, and boosts your value as an employee. To maintain, 8 hours of continuing
education units (CEUs) must be completed every two years before the
certification renewal date. Exam fees are non-refundable. You must take the exam within 90 days after the purchase date.
TCNP Exam Sections:
- Culture I - 35 Questions, 45 minutes to take the exam
- Culture II - 100 Questions, 1 1/2 hour to take the exam
- Merchandising - 30 Questions, 45 minutes to take the exam
- Landscape Design Part 1 - 50 Questions, 1 hour to take the exam
- Landscape Design Part 2 - 38 Questions, 45 minutes to take the exam
- Plant ID - 50 Questions, 1 hour to take the exam
- Plant Characteristics - 48 Questions, 1 hour to take the exam
