Description:
The effects of trauma can show up in different, unexpected ways and sometimes at unusual times, and Casual Relief Teachers will encounter students in classrooms who have experienced trauma. Supporting children who have experienced trauma requires attention to the detail of decisions made in how to handle situations. In this 90 minute session the presenter will focus on supporting teachers to understand the different types of trauma and share strategies that will help the students.
