Moving from Provisional Teacher Registration to Full Registration

It’s integral to the teaching profession that all provisionally registered teachers progress to full registration. The requirements of moving to full registration need to be consistent for all teachers regardless of their workplace or work type.

Working as a casual relief teacher (CRT) is a different teaching context to working as a teacher for one employer. The VIT recognises the unique challenges provisionally registered CRTs face and has developed a range of resources to support them on their journey to full registration.

This series of four one-hour webinars unpack the Inquiry process from the perspective of a CRT’s teaching practice. Each webinar focuses on a different part of the process. Participants are required to join all four sessions to complete the program.

The following webinars will be delivered in partnership with the Teacher Learning Network (TLN) as part of the CRTPD program.

  • Webinar 1 – 5.00pm-6.00pm, Tuesday 11 June
VIT and the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST)
  • Webinar 2 – 5.00pm-6.00pm, Thursday 13 June
    Demonstrating proficiency
  • Webinar 3 – 5.00pm-6.00pm, Tuesday 18 June
Navigating the Inquiry process as a CRT
  • Webinar 4 – 5.00pm-6.00pm, Thursday 20 June
    Documenting the Inquiry process

Please note that these sessions will be recorded and made available in the CRTPD catalogue. If you are unable to attend these dates and would prefer to attend a live session, more webinars delivered directly by VIT will be available in term 3. Please check the VIT website for available sessions.
