Description:
This session focuses on a range of teaching techniques that can be adopted with limited resources and preparation. The presenter will explore ways to look at old ideas like Socratic circles, inquiry learning or direct instruction and bring them into the modern classroom where they may be combined with technology tools to meet the needs of our students today. Participants will leave with a range of 'grab-and-go' teaching techniques that are low-tech, no-tech, and also hi-tech. There will also be a discussion of ways to involve students in the learning process and begin to move knowledge learnt in class into their long term memory.
