Size, Life and load rating are the most important design criteria of rolling element bearings. However, there is much more to know about bearings. Friction, thermal and electric parameters get more in the focus due to the thrive for sustainability. Noise and dynamics can also be important design parameters. And – as bearings are not alone, but implemented in systems – the loads and speeds transmitted to the bearings need to be regarded, too.
