Risk of computing or service interruption leads to many of the fire protection decisions for mission critical applications. This session will outline common fire scenarios encountered and the common active fire protection system selections. It will present emerging edge-computing applications and how they affect existing telecom buildings and data centers. Fire protection system needs of new facilities will be covered.

  • Lee Kaiser

    Lee Kaiser is Vice President of Engineering and Training for ORR Protection—a national fire protection contractor focusing on mission critical facilities. Lee is a professional engineer in both fire protection and mechanical engineering with licenses in several states. He leads the system design and technical training functions for ORR Protection. He is the Chair of NFPA 75 Technical Committee on Electronic Computer Systems, a principal member of NFPA 200, NFPA 418, and NFPA 915, he is the chairperson of the Fire Suppression Systems Association Technical Committee, and is a frequent speaker and presenter for seminars, workshops, and conferences across the country. Lee is married, has four children, and lives in Louisville, Kentucky.
