It seems as though the regulatory landscape for firefighting
foams in the environment is changing weekly, if not more frequently. Some
states have passed legislation banning fluorine-containing foams, others have
done statewide foam concentrate take-backs and required reporting of any use of
the products. It can confuse fire officers and fire protection
engineers.
This webinar will review the current state of regulatory
considerations for the use of these materials, and offer practical
considerations for both flammable liquids firefighting and the ability to
test/store firefighting liquids containing PFAS.
Learning Objectives:
- Attendees will understand the current US regulatory landscape for firefighting foams in the environment
- Attendees will understand the challenges of changing foam protection for industrial flammable liquid hazards to products that are more environmentally-friendly.This includes fixed and mobile systems.
