G09 "What Is Digital Librarianship?": An Interview Series

Description

"Many academic institutions now maintain significant digital collections of resources. Despite the ever-increasing prevalence of digital collections, the tasks of the professionals working with these collections remain elusive. The question of what digital knowledge workers do remains unclear for both the general public and for MLIS/MSIS students. This uncertainty creates a disconnect between these institutions and the communities they serve.

The Texas Digital Library ""What is Digital Librarianship?"" Interview Series aims to provide a snapshot of the vast array of roles and responsibilities taken on by the people who work with these digital collections. These interviews highlight professionals working at Texas Digital Library-affiliated institutions, exploring both the tasks that make up their day-to-day jobs and the larger challenges of working with digital collections."
