In-Person Workshop Saturday June 15th, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:15 PM

In this workshop, we will be reviewing best practices and ethical guidelines for supervising candidates for licensure. We will be discussing ways to problems solve, and help empower candidates as they are assisting clients in the therapy process. We will also be talking about self care practices, and how it applies to our work and our work with licensure candidates.

Objectives Include:
-Discuss current policies regarding clinical supervision.
-Help develop and train licensure candidates, and learn best practices.
-Learn ways to problem solve with candidates for licensure, and develop a solid, trusting relationship.
-Learn ways to develop self care strategies to apply to our work and supervision practices.

  • Sarah McFadden, LPC-S

    Sarah grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and completed her undergraduate coursework in Psychology at the University of Oklahoma in 1999. She received my Master of Arts degree in Counseling at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas in 2005. Sarah started her career working with children and families in the foster care system providing services in homes and schools. She then served as a therapist and Clinical Director at Sunbeam Family Services, and then transitioned to private practice four years ago.

    Sarah has provided therapeutic services to couples, families, and individuals in home, school and office-based settings for 13 years. She has facilitated small and large psychoeducational and process groups. She has also prepared and provided presentations and workshops to various groups and workplaces. Sarah love working with the community through public speaking, training and mentoring. Sarah is passionate about working with others during their journey of healing and process of self discovery. In her free time, Sarah enjoys running, weight lifting, reading, cooking, traveling, being outside and spending time with friends and family.
