Ethical dilemmas can show up in the ordinary interactions in our work. This workshop will explore strategies for recognizing dilemmas, developing a framework for exploring dilemmas, and practical strategies for resolving dilemmas. We will discuss implications for supervision with licensees and practicum students as well

Objectives Include:
-Identify dilemmas using the code of ethics
-Explore common malpractice issues or complaints related to ethical misbehavior
-Apply a framework for decision making.
- Discuss practical strategies for ethical practice.

  • Julia Reed, LCSW

    Julia Reed obtained her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Sociology from Florida Southern College and earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Her professional interests include trauma and trauma-informed care, development across the life span, eating disorders, dialectical behavior therapy and all aspects of prevention to include professional self-care. For over 30 years, Ms. Reed has served as a clinical social worker serving diverse populations across many settings, to include higher education, community mental health, nonprofits serving children and families, hospital and nursing homes, and juvenile justice. Julia is currently serving as the Vice President of Clinical Operations for Child and Family Services at NorthCare.
