In this presentation, we will introduce the key concepts in Performance Based Wind Design (PBWD) and the ASCE Prestandard for PBWD v1.1. Topics covered include performance objectives, the PBWD design process for the main wind force resisting system utilizing linear analysis methods, wind time histories, and acceptance criteria.
