Commitment to Diversity for the Emerging-Level College Access Professional

Working with diverse populations is a core element of GEAR UP, and this course was created to build awareness around diversity issues for college access professionals. In this emerging level course, learn about the difference between equity and equality, and strengthen skills in understanding the unique cultural narratives of your students.

Take the full series
This is the first of three courses on commitment to diversity for college access professionals. The courses build on each other, so we recommend taking all three courses, regardless of experience. The full series should take up to 6 hours to complete and you can take the courses at your own pace.

Certificate of Completion
To receive a certificate of completion, you must complete each lesson, all surveys, and pass the assessment with an 80% or higher for which you will have two retake opportunities.
