District & Regional Issues for the Emerging-Level Director

As the Director of a GEAR UP grant, it is critical that you have a firm understanding of the district and regional issues that impact your program. Understanding these issues will benefit you in your GEAR UP role and ensure that the GEAR UP program is in alignment with the priorities of the schools, districts, and regions served. 

This course covers:

  • Common concepts associated with partnerships;
  • District and regional structures and stakeholders; and
  • District and regional challenges to national GEAR UP program priorities.

Take the full series
This is the first of three courses on district and regional issues for directors. The courses build on each other, so we recommend taking all three courses, regardless of experience. The full series should take up to 6 hours to complete and you can take the courses at your own pace.

Certificate of Completion
To receive a certificate of completion, you must complete each lesson, all surveys, and pass the assessment with an 80% or higher for which you will have two retake opportunities.
