Planning & Organizing for Family Engagement Specialists-Expert Level

In this final course on planning and organizing for family engagement specialists, deepen and begin to apply the knowledge you’ve gained in ways to build the capacity of family members to be leaders and decision makers in a way that will benefit you the entire GEAR UP program community. Deepen take a deeper dive into communicating with parents in an inclusive way to make a difference in the lives of students. Begin to apply what you're learning as you take this expert-level course.

This course covers:

• Building the capacity of family members as leaders and advocates;
• Family involvement in decision-making regarding school and/or GEAR UP programs; and
• Establishing parent networks.

Take this course to deepen and apply ways to communicate and build family engagement and learn how to organize strong family networks in your GEAR UP community.

Take the full series
This is the third of three courses on planning and organizing for family engagement specialists. The courses build on each other, so we recommend taking all three courses, regardless of experience. The full series should take up to 6 hours to complete and you can take the courses at your own pace.

Certificate of Completion
To receive a certificate of completion, you must complete each lesson, all surveys, and pass the assessment with an 80% or higher for which you will have two retake opportunities.
