Everything You Wanted to Know about Parking and Transportation Services (but were afraid to ask!)

Description

Attendees can expect an open and frank dialogue about operating a parking and transportation operation on campus. Topics can include things such as best practices, customer service, permit sales, parking technology, parking enforcement, contract management, shuttle and valet services. The session will be interactive.

Attendees will learn and discuss all things related to the Parking and Transportation Services industry and all aspects of running a large auxiliary program on a college campus.

    Neil Hart joined the University of Houston in 2017 after successful stints at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. As the assistant vice president of Parking and Transportation Services, he oversees a department that manages six garages, a campus shuttle program, alternative transportation incentives, and a parking enforcement program.

    At UTMB, he oversaw a large operation that included not only parking, but numerous other auxiliary services for multiple campuses. At MD Anderson, he led a large parking and transportation department.

    He also has experience working with Republic Parking System, having managed a multi-use facility that included more than 3,000 self-parking spaces.

    He has earned the CAPP (Certified Administrator of Public Parking) designation from the International Parking and Mobility Institute.

    He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Houston and a master’s degree in
    business administration from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio.
