On Campus Events Roundtable

Description

Centralized event services functions departments are being highlighted more now than ever. With the increased spotlight and requirement for staff to produce top quality programming and services, this area seems to be one of further development. Additionally, we know how increased awareness of events and the approval process not only supports student engagement and overall student belonging but eases the process on the back end for staff. In this roundtable we will explore best practices, processes, procedures, and technologies folks are using to excel in this area.

    Director of Auxiliary Services
    Antelope Valley College

    Jim Nasipak has been the Director of Auxiliary Services at Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, California, for the past five (5) years. Previously, he was at Azusa Pacific University serving as the Director of University Services. He has also had the privilege to be an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University’s Graduate School of Business Management, teaching organizational development, organizational behavior, and leadership.

    Jim has been married to his wife, Debra, for 31 years. They have two fantastic adult children and one incredible daughter-in-law. Their son, Zachary, and his wife, Rebecca, live in Baltimore, Maryland, where he works for NASA. Their daughter, Jessica, lives in California and runs operations at a top floral studio.

    Jim, along with Debra, enjoy spending time with family and friends around their table. Their love of cooking, wine, and hospitality lend to a home that provide refuge, relaxation, and love to all that enter.

  • Brian Groves

    Assistance Vice Chancellor
    FBS Auxiliaries and Business Operations

    Brian Groves is the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Finance and Business Strategy Auxiliaries at the University of Colorado Boulder. Brian began his career at CU Boulder in 2002 and oversees the bookstore, parking services, children’s center, imaging services, and testing & assessment center.
