Description
With the focus of substance use disorder treatment shifting to integrated care solutions, it is crucial for addiction professionals to explore valuable community partnerships to compliment services already offered. In this webinar, we will be reviewing the implementation of recovery-oriented systems of care, community needs assessments, and the development of relationships with others to treat individuals in a holistic manner. Participants will explore barriers to implementation with solution-focused goals. Finally, the webinar will discuss data on current integrated systems with community partnerships and their effect on the community as a whole.

Presenters
Samson Teklemariam, LPC, CPTM

Samson Teklemariam, LPC, CPTM, is the Vice President of Clinical Services for Behavioral Health Group (BHG). He is an accomplished leader with a history of driving organizational results with learning and development solutions. Known for implementing initiatives that support organizational priorities and produce measurable outcomes, he has been a leader in the field of addiction treatment for over 12 years. He was formerly the Director of Training and Professional Development for NAADAC. Teklemariam is a Certified Lead Trainer for Cognitive Behavioral Interventions for Substance Abuse (CBI-SA) and the Calm Every Storm: Crisis Prevention & Intervention curriculum. He is experienced in treating trauma-related disorders using trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT) and Seeking Safety. Teklemariam previously worked for Phoenix House Foundation as the National Director of Learning and Development.
Boni-Lou Roberts, MSHE, MATS, CADC II,

Boni-Lou Roberts, MSHE, MATS, CADC II, is the National Clinical Trainer for Behavioral Health Group, LLC. She oversees clinical training for 118 Opioid Treatment Centers in 22 states. Her experiences include multi-modal counseling and training in residential treatment, community-based treatment and private practice outpatient treatment. While working in a medication assisted treatment (MAT) facility, she earned her specialist recognition in MAT as well as a Master’s in Higher Education. She hopes to help move the field further by providing highly effective training to counselors. Since joining the national clinical leadership team, she has had the privilege of speaking at both the state and national level to further the discussion on substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and professional needs within the field.
Emily King
Emily King is a regional business development consultant for Behavioral Health Group (BHG) in Kentucky and Indiana. She coordinates outreach efforts for six locations by managing Center Community Partners and assists with engaging communities in these locations and surrounding counties. King is a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College and University of Louisville and has over 10 years of field experience. Her prior experience includes work in insurance, community corrections, SAP curriculum creation, and substance use disorder (SUD) counseling. Before starting as a regional business development consultant for BHG, King was a counselor and part-time outreach coordinator for Center for Behavioral Health in Louisville, KY - now owned and operated by BHG. She lives and works out of Louisville, KY but enjoys the travel opportunities that visiting with employees and meeting with community partners presents. She currently sits as the Greater Louisville Reentry Council President and Deacon Vice Chair at her church. King is a passionate advocate for individuals and families in and seeking recovery and a strong believer in the value of evidence-based treatment, medication-assisted recovery, harm reduction, and supporting multiple pathways to recovery.

To earn a CE Certificate for viewing this webinar, you must view the webinar in its entirety, pass the CE quiz, and complete the online survey evaluation.

  1. Upon completing the webinar, you will have access to the CE quiz within the course you are taking. Find the CE quiz and click “purchase.” NAADAC members will be prompted to register for the CE quiz for free, while non-members will be prompted to pay a $15 processing fee to access the quiz.
  2. A score of 80% or higher is required to pass the CE quiz and access your CE certificate. You have 10 opportunities to pass the quiz. If you are unable to pass the quiz in the allocated number of tries, then you must retake the course.
  3. Upon passing the CE quiz, you will be required to complete the survey evaluation for the course. Once that is completed, your CE certificate will be immediately available to print.
