Description
Attendees will learn about the methodical issues that hinder researchers' abilities to enumerate addiction professionals in the behavioral health workforce. We will also outline the roles of addiction professionals in integrated care teams and identify other practice settings in which they deliver behavioral health services. Finally, we will define addiction professionals by level of license/certification and demonstrate scopes of practice variability across licenses/certification level and states.

Angela J. Beck, PhD, MPHA, is Principal Investigator and Director of the HRSA/SAMHSA-funded Behavioral Health Workforce Research Center at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, where she also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Behavior and Health Education, Director of the Michigan Public Health Training Center, Associate Director for the Center of Excellence in Public Health Workforce Studies, and Assistant Dean of the Office for Student Engagement and Practice. Beck holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physiology from Michigan State University and a Master of Public Health and Doctorate degrees from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education.

- Upon completing the webinar, you will have access to the CE quiz within the course you are taking. Find the CE quiz and click “purchase.” NAADAC members will be prompted to register for the CE quiz for free, while non-members will be prompted to pay a $15 processing fee to access the quiz.
- A score of 80% or higher is required to pass the CE quiz and access your CE certificate. You have 10 opportunities to pass the quiz. If you are unable to pass the quiz in the allocated number of tries, then you must retake the course.
- Upon passing the CE quiz, you will be required to complete the survey evaluation for the course. Once that is completed, your CE certificate will be immediately available to print.
