Description
Extreme correlation of these two disorders does not suggest a cause and effect relationship. Instead, each disorder reinforces the other and leads to progression of each. Treatment must recognize how the two disorders interact in order to develop effective intervention and treatment strategies.

Jim Morningstar, PhD
Jim Morningstar, PhD has been a practicing licensed psychologist and psychotherapist since 1973. He managed a community mental health center and supervised medical residents. Jim founded Transformations Incorporated in 1980, directed the School of Integrative Psychology and the Creative Consulting and Counseling Center since 1980 as well as the Transformations Breathwork Training Program since 1990. He is the founder of Therapeutic Breathwork and have done numerous presentations on healing anxiety, depression and addictions in seven countries. His latest of 5 books is Break Through with Breathwork.

Terry Gray, MS, LISAC
Terry Gray, MS, LISAC, has been a counselor for those experiencing substance use disorders, addiction, and related disorders since 1978. Most of his experience was through public-funded agencies with court-referred clients. In 1995, He founded a private outpatient treatment facility in Tucson, AZ, that grew to become the primary private outpatient facility in southern Arizona. Gray is semi-retired, yet maintain contracts with the City of Tucson and IHS. He is a prior SAP and helped pass the existing Licensure Act in AZ. Gray’s current agency is focused on Prostitution, Solicitation, DUI, All Addictions, and the DV-related trauma of veterans.
