Online Course: Reflective Supervision/Consultation in the Virtual Space for IECMH Providers

Online Course Training Title
Reflective Supervision/Consultation in the Virtual Space for IECMH Providers

Topic Area's Included
professional development, building and maintaining relationships

Description
This on demand professional development recording offers insights and strategies tailored to Infant and Early Childhood Professionals, focusing on the importance of slowing down and peer collaboration. Facilitated by reflective supervisor Andrea Penick, the group reflective supervision session focuses on supervisee, Lee Lacerdo, as she reflects on her therapeutic relationship with a new client who has experienced past and current trauma. This session demonstrates how a supervisor can create a safe space for supervisees to slow down in order to express feelings without fear of judgment and to navigate opposing emotions. This recording shows the power of group dynamics in fostering reflection, containment, and a sense that the supervisee is not alone. Disclaimer: The following reflective supervision session is designed to foster learning, growth, and self-awareness in a professional context. As you engage with the material, you may find yourself deeply reflecting on your own history, experiences, and emotions. Please be mindful that this process can sometimes evoke strong feelings or memories, and it's very common to feel activated or have increased emotions. You may consider watching these in a private space or in a space where you feel safe with others. We encourage you to practice self-care (deep breathing, shaking your body, breaks) throughout and after the session.
