This training provides an overview of the Michigan Association of Infant Mental Health (Mi-AIMH), what Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health is, what it can look like in an early childhood setting, and who could provide this type of care and how to apply for endorsement with a focus on individuals working in non-therapeutic settings.

Learning Objectives - Participants will be able to:

  1. Participants will understand what Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health is and how it applies to early childhood educators.
  2. Participants will understand how to navigate the Michigan Association of Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health website including how to apply for endorsement in the state of Michigan. 
  3. Participants will learn about different levels of endorsement in infants and early childhood settings
Content Level: Beginning level courses introduce learners to a content area; include information about a condition, treatment method, or issue; and involve learning and comprehending content.


Continuing Education Information - 1.0 training hours:
Social Work - Approved for 1.0 Michigan SW CEU’s
IMH Endorsement® - Will count towards the requirements for the MI-AIMH Endorsement®
SCECHs: This training offers State Continuing Education Clock Hours (SCECHs) for those with educator certification in Michigan. To receive SCECHs, you will need to provide your PIC and MiRegistry numbers when you created your MI-AIMH RELATE User Account. If you did not add those items you can go back to add those items or email lsheldon@mi-aimh.org to have those added. In order to receive SCECHs, individuals must also have a MiRegistry account.
