Description
This course is designed to empower healthcare professionals,
administrators, and leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to cultivate a
workplace culture that embraces diversity, ensures equity, and fosters
inclusivity. Participants will explore the intersectionality of diversity
within healthcare settings, addressing challenges, and leveraging the unique
strengths diverse perspectives bring to the industry.
Learning Objectives
This course will provide you with the knowledge to:
- Discuss diversity within the healthcare context, exploring various dimensions, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic background
- Identify and eliminate barriers that may disproportionately affect certain groups
- Describe inclusive leadership practices, communication strategies, and the development of policies that create a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals of all backgrounds
