Inn Officer Overview: Inn Counselor

The Inn Counselor or Vice President provides support, advice and unique perspectives to the president and the decision-making of the executive committee.  Although duties of the counselor may differ depending on the Inn's structure, they typically include the following:
  • The counselor presides at Inn meetings, committee meetings or meetings of the Masters in the absence of the president.
  • The counselor may oversee pupillage team assignments annually and gather feedback from team leaders for future realignments.
  • The counselor may also serve as the Inn’s liaison with local, state and federal courts to encourage judicial participation or request access to facilities for Inn meetings.
This presentation outlines the Counselor's role and oversight responsibilities. The Resources Tab contains documents and links referenced in the presentation.
