Inn Program Reprise: Crime at the Inn (of Court)

COURSE OVERVIEW:

This course explores some of the ethical challenges associated with eyewitness testimony and other situations that might arise while trying a case. Through the backdrop of navigating concerns about the value of eyewitness testimony and identifications, you are also confronted with such thorny issues as what to do when a victim expresses doubts, or when a defendant wants to testify in order to clear their name. The content is relevant to both civil and criminal attorneys, and "eye-opening" for all in the area of eyewitness testimony.

THE COURSE IS PRESENTED IN five parts:

  • Part I: The Crime
  • Part II: Voir Dire
  • Part III: Eyewitness Expertise
  • Part IV: Advice, Line-Ups and a Surprise
  • Part V: The Trial and the Verdict
After each section, the learner will answer a Knowledge Check. Once you have gone through the presentations, completed your questions and assignments, and filled out the evaluation, a certificate will be generated for attorneys wishing to self-report for CLE credit (1 hour of ethics credit in most jurisdictions).

PRICING:

Members: $30
Non-members: $45

This course is based on an original program conceived and delivered by the Anthony M. Kennedy American Inn of Court. Thank you for your creative idea and presentation!
