Session Description
Saliva has a promising role in population health assessment due to the large number of biomarkers present in this biological fluid. In addition, salivary biomarker analysis has a great potential to help diagnose systemic diseases in their primary stages, reducing health disparities and making diagnoses accessible to all. In this symposium, we will discuss recent innovations and discoveries in the field of salivary diagnostics. We will also learn from global experiences on saliva diagnostics applicability and challenges. Finally, this symposium will foster new research collaborations in the salivary diagnostics field.

Learning Objectives
  • Learn about novel applications of salivary biomarkers as a diagnostic tool for health and disease assessment.
