Securing the resources to meet current and future needs of the organization--advancing FHIR, achieving global relevance, and reaching a larger community--is a critical to advancing HL7’s mission and goals and is identified as Sustainability, one of the five overarching principles of our Re-envisioning HL7 initiative. Achieving the recommendations under the Sustainability principle will require HL7 to maximize existing funding sources while identifying and securing new funding sources as well.
Three Re-envisioning task groups are working on Sustainability needs and are the focus of this HL7 Re-envisioning Member Forum:
• Sustainability – Advocacy & Development
• Sustainability – ROI (mostly focused on Accelerators)
• Sustainability - Education
