Description

  • InstallationMasters®, prompted by the Building Environment and Thermal Envelope Council (BETEC) through the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is an FGIA Program, developed by AAMA. It is a nationwide training and certification program for new construction and replacement installers of windows and exterior glass doors in residential and light commercial markets.

Learning Objectives

  • There are currently three separate segments of the InstallationMasters® program available – Combined, Replacement only and New Construction only - each of which address water management, installation materials and components, installation practices for various fenestration frame styles and shapes, job site safety, product performance and operator types, and more through classroom training.

Course Completion Requirements

  • Completion of the InstallationMasters training program and successful passing of the exam allows qualified participants to earn either the Certified Installer Identification Card, or Certified Professional Certificate, which shows they are officially certified through the InstallationMasters Program.

Certification Requirements

  • Installer / Professional Certification training*: 1-2 days, depending on the program segment
  • Instructor Accreditation Training** – 4 or 5 days, depending on the program segment
