Description
This workshop will address the key social issues school age and adolescent girls face today. CBT, Adlerian, and Gestalt play therapy interventions will be introduced and practiced during this training.
Objectives:
- Participants will discuss 2 foundational concepts in CBT, Adlerian, andGestalt Play Therapy.
- Participants will analyze 3 play therapy interventions in CBT, ADlerian, and Gestalt Play Therapy in regards to school age and adolescent girls.
- Participants will describe the role of the clinician in CBT, ADlerian and Gestalt Play Therapy,
- Participants will critique 2 CBT, Adlerian and Gestalt Play Therapy concepts in relation to this unique population and issues.
- Participants will discuss utilizing CBT, Adlerian, and Gestalt Play Therapy within their own practice with school age and adolescent girls..
- Participants will design either 2 CBT, Adlerian, or Gestalt Play Therapy interventions.

Casie Brittain MSW, LCSW, RPT-S, EAGALA Certified Mental Health/Equine Specialist. Mrs. Brittain is also certified in AutPlay and currently in the process of obtaining certification in TRE (Trauma Release Exercises). Mrs. Brittain has worked in a variety of settings over the past 20 years: OKDHS, community mental health, adult substance abuse residential treatment, youth & family services, mobile crisis services, and private practice. Mrs. Brittain has been a trainer for the CS Institute of Play Therapy for the past 3 years where her focus has been utilizing sensory integration for emotional and behavioral regulation for neuro-divergent children.
