Playing Games: A CBT Play Therapy Approach

Cognitive behavioral therapy has a long history of being an evidence-based, highly effective modality for therapy, but translating it into simple terms for children to understand can be difficult. This workshop will include tips and tricks to help children comprehend CBT concepts through play and offer creative games to use in sessions.
Presentation objectives:
1. Analyze the essential components of CBT Play Therapy.
2. Identify and discuss research supporting the use of CBT in Play Therapy.
3. Explore and describe ways to use games and play to use CBT play therapy with children.
