Description
This 3 hour introduction into Play Therapy
will focus on theoretical orientations, methodologies, historical
perspectives and ethical issues. An experiential workshop, with
demonstrations on techniques, and practical application will give
participants a fun and exciting introduction to the power of Play.
Learning Objectives:
- Examine historical applications of Play Therapy
- Identify the major theoretical orientations associated with Play Therapy
- Learn three (3) Play Therapy techniques

Sharolyn Wallace PhD, LCSW, RPT-S, IMH-E®
Sharolyn Wallace PhD, LCSW, RPT-S, IMH-E® has worked with children and families for over 30 years. She has served on the APT Board of Directors and OKAPT and currently serves on the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB). Dr. Wallace has authored six children’s books and APT magazine articles. She is the Professor of Human Services at Tulsa Community College and Faculty Director for the Center for Addiction Prevention and Recovery Support.
