About This Program
The seminar discusses sustainability as a building material and design component. Advancements have drastically reduced energy consumption in steel production, in addition to having a ready supply of recycled stock for the array of future structural products. Learning about the range of deck types, applications, and accessories will give the designer a toolkit for exploring creative solutions in their work. Designs can take advantage of the long-span capabilities and acoustical qualities, along with high-performance coatings for the range of environments.
Session Takeaways
-
Know the range of roof deck and composite floor deck options, including Architectural Deck.
- Understand acoustical, fire rating, and paint performance characteristics.
-
Explore accessories and detailing considerations for efficient construction and optimal framing studies.
- Understand approaches to comprehensive sustainability in steel design and steel manufacturing.
