Cold-Formed Steel Framing Connections, a Tech Talk with ClarkDietrich

Description

About This Program

There are many benefits to specifying pre-engineered connectors tested to perform exactly as required for each application. Pre-manufactured connectors are designed and tested for all allowable load capacities and often have third-party data and certifications supporting their performance and adherence to standards, allowing A/E’s to base their calculations on the actual performance of the connectors. Specifying pre-engineered clips and connectors can also save time and labor in the construction process. Lastly, this presentation will feature industry tools designed to aid on the design of connectors for building structures.

Session Takeaways

  • Review deflection and identify various types of deflection and drift clips.
  • Identify different support clips suitable for rigid attachments.
  • Examine specialty clips and connectors that enhance the performance and durability.
  • Explore labor-saving products available in the industry to improve speed and efficiency.
