About This Program

The Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) is the ANSI accredited Standards Development Organization for Interior architectural millwork. While many are familiar with the previous AWI Standards, the Architectural Woodwork Standard, the newly published ANSI/AWI standards are a departure from the previous standards allowing for more innovation. This requires new ways of specifying to take advantage of what the standards offer along with how the Quality Certification Program can provide the assurance and confidence in a successful interior millwork project.

    Greg oversees the Quality Certification Program. He has over 35 years experience in the woodworking industry. His experience has spanned a variety of woodworking industries including, open plan office furniture, cabinetry, ownership of a custom woodworking business, and operations management in the store fixture and architectural millwork industry. He has been with AWI for the last 12 years. Joining the AWI Quality Certification Program in 2010 as an independent QCP Representative performing inspections in the Northwest, became a full-time staff member as Inspections Manager in 2012 then advancing into his present position in 2021.
