Slabs and Planks in Vehicular Applications

Thank you

This webinar has ended. Thank you attending.

Description

Slabs and planks are unique in visual appeal and finishes used to complement the architectural character of adjacent building while enhancing the landscape. Patterns can create strong visual effects, used to suggest visual movement and direction. A commonly asked question from designers is on how much vehicular traffic can slabs and planks receive in at-grade applications? While most applications are for pedestrian use only, designers—informed or not--push the structural capacity of slabs and planks by using them in vehicular applications. Properly designed and constructed slabs and planks can withstand a limited amount of vehicle traffic, and this presentation will cover some things you need to consider when designing for these loading limits as well as for pedestrian uses.
