The Dobbs Decision has affected the provision of abortion. This change has implications for provision of abortion as well as obstetrical care and decision making throughout pregnancy. Regardless of abortion legality, the principles of good medical care have not changed, including the right of the patient to full informed consent regarding benefits, risks and alternatives of any procedure or medication. Regardless of your state of practice, it is important for medical professionals to know benefits, risks, and alternatives, which will be explored in this lecture.
