According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, geothermal systems are among the most environmentally friendly and cost-efficient heating and cooling technologies available today. Geothermal heat pumps can also serve as a critical aspect of electrification projects that are being encouraged by numerous government and corporate policies. This presentation will focus on the key elements of commissioning a geothermal system and the benefits of proper system operation. With the passage of
the Inflation Reduction Act, owners can now receive up to 40% of their geothermal system’s cost from the Government, creating higher demands for these systems. The presentation will include lessons learned from case studies that can be applied to future commissioning projects.
