Description
An overview of evaluation practices throughout history in zoo and aquarium settings as well as in neighboring communities, and sharing more equitable approaches for future studies. The team will also highlight links to the AZA Social Science Research Agenda key research sub-questions as a framework to use when designing studies, and social justice-oriented frameworks. This will be done as a zoom meeting so participants can be part of the conversation as we share a few examples of equitable study design and discuss stumbling blocks others have faced.
