The Leisure Ability Model in Practice at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (0.1 CEUs)

Session Description

Transitioning patients from one level of care to another can be challenging for health care providers. The recreational therapists at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center provide services in a variety of settings along the continuum of care using the Leisure Ability Model (LAM) as their theoretical foundation. This presentation provides an overview of the LAM, explains the benefit of using a theoretical framework when providing RT services, and discuss several case studies to demonstrate the use of the LAM.
