VI-EDU-12: Exploring the Role of ChatGPT in the Classroom and as an Accommodation

Overview

This session explores ChatGPT as an educator's tool for writing support and accommodation for individuals with disabilities. We discuss integrating ChatGPT into the writing process, fostering independence, and promoting ethical writing practices. Educators gain strategies for providing effective support while maintaining academic integrity. Real-life case studies highlight successful implementation and its impact on student learning. Jeffrey Davis PhD, ATP has 19 years experience in public education, 16 years of those years working with assistive technology. He is dedicated to enhancing learning opportunities for students and ensuring equal access to education. To help individuals with disabilities in a broader way, Dr. Davis founded The Accessibility Clinic Inc. to provide through charity for individuals in critical need.
