Adhesives Core Course
The Adhesives CORE course is a 90 minute video series designed to provide an understanding of adhesives classification, chemistry, manufacturing and use. The course includes the slide deck, 3 recording modules of approximately 30 minutes followed by a knowledge check. The exam has 30 questions, requiring greater than 80% for a passing grade and 1 CORE credit.

David Speth, Evans Adhesive Corporation, Ltd.
Dave has a BA in chemistry from Brown University and PhD in organic chemistry from Stanford University. He has been the hot melt chemist at Evans Adhesives for the past three years. Before working at Evans, Dave spent 25 years at Dow Chemical where he helped develop Vector™ styrene block copolymers for pressure sensitive adhesive applications and Affinity™ polyolefin plastomers for hot melt adhesives to support HB Fuller’s Advantra™ packaging adhesives line. He also worked in the films business and on Hypod™ polyolefin dispersions made with Bluewave™ dispersion technology. After leaving Dow, Dave worked at the Edison Welding Institute solving adhesive application problems for a wide range of industrial and governmental clients. Dave is a member of the American Chemical Society, the Society of Plastics Engineers, and the Adhesion Society.
