VPTA or APTA Virginia-PAC was created to advance health care priorities related to physical therapist practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It raises contributions and other support to facilitate the election of candidates in statewide elections who align with the needs and priorities of the physical therapy profession and the patients and clients served by its members.

What do your PAC Dollar Support?
The APTA Virginia Government Affairs Committee uses PAC donations to support federal and state legislators. We support legislators that have had a positive influence on our legislative agenda. Without this support, we are unable to attend events for these legislators and talk with them about our important recent issues including: a fee schedule for Workers' compensation, the Medicare therapy cap, Dry Needling, including physical therapists in concussion legislation, the licensure of kinesiotherapists, and access to physical therapist services without a referral.

Your Donation Matters!
We would not be as successful in advocating for the profession and our consumers without this money. If you donate to a legislator directly with a personal contribution, we would also love to work with you on contributing that through the VPTA PAC so you can represent physical therapy!

Contributions
PTA-PAC is not supported by APTA Virginia membership dues. APTA Virginia legislative successes are funded entirely from donations to the APTA VA-PAC. Advances in physical therapy practice in Virginia are contingent upon your generous gifts.

All APTA VA-PAC donations must be reported to the Virginia State Board of Elections. Reporting information required by the SBE includes:

• Donor name, address, phone and email;
• Donor employer name and address;
• Gift amount.
