This course is designed to provide an overview of the Illinois Supreme Court Safe Harbor Policy officially titled the Illinois Supreme Court Policy on Assistance to Court Users by Circuit Clerks, Court Staff, Law Librarians and Court Volunteers. This course was designed and created by the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts (AOIC) Access to Justice Division and the Recordkeeping and Technology (RTU) Unit of the AOIC Court Services Division for the Supreme Court of Illinois Judicial College with considerable input from the Illinois Judicial College Standing Committees on Probation Education, Judicial Branch Staff Education, Trial Court Administrator Education.
