Description
Staying Calm in a Cyber Crisis
“Don't wait
until a crisis occurs before thinking of crisis management. It is like waiting
until you are drowning before thinking of learning to swim.”
“It takes a
lifetime to build a reputation and only seconds to destroy one.”
In the current
environment of daily data breaches and cyber-attacks, no organization – large
or small – is immune. Be prepared with an incident response plan.
The TrustBridge
has joined forces with international law firm Womble Bond Dickinson to offer
this EduSeries to AMC Institute, at which attendees will hear real life
examples of what can go wrong, what has worked well, what remains uncertain
when dealing with the inevitable data breach or security incident, and steps to
take to mitigate risk.
A panel of
industry leaders, cyber experts and legal professionals will step through a
cyber incident response simulation – a scenario developed in association with
the International Association for Risk and Crisis Communications. The
panel will review actions taken within the simulation and give real-time
perspectives from the viewpoint of forensic investigation and mitigation,
legal, cyber insurance, and law enforcement considerations.
Aimed
at senior executives, this session will help prepare you to understand the risks, if the worst
happens. Participants will learn what decisions need to be made while under
pressure, their consequences, how to determine priorities, how to recover, and,
perhaps more importantly, what not to do. Learn how to mitigate risk and what
to do to protect your organization against such attacks.
No organization
is immune: according to recent statistics 66% of organizations say they had
been affected by a cyberattack within the past year. The data held by all
membership organizations is all valuable to someone; not least the organization
that “owns” it. It is often personal information of individuals – so it should
be protected at all costs.
Recent high-profile cases, including the American Bar Association which suffered a data breach
after hackers compromised its network and gained access to older credentials
for 1,466,000 members in April 2023, have all re-enforced the message:
be
aware, be prepared!
Join us as a panel from The
TrustBridge opens your eyes and prepares you for the worst.
